Fitzemeyer & Tocci recently completed commissioning services for the comprehensive renovation of Goodell Hall on the UMass Amherst campus. The project encompassed both the original three-story structure, constructed in 1934, and the six-story addition built in 1960, transforming the facility into a revitalized and energy-efficient campus asset.
The project achieved LEED Silver Certification, reflecting its commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and modern design standards. F&T provided design review and full commissioning services for new HVAC, plumbing, electrical, low-voltage, life safety, and building automation and control systems—ensuring all systems were optimized for performance, occupant comfort, and long-term reliability.
The renovated building welcomed staff in January 2025, following a successful transition into the modernized space supported by F&T’s focused commissioning efforts.
