Mechanical Project Leader 4
10 years with F&T
Aaron Valentine is a Mechanical Project Leader 4 at Fitzemeyer & Tocci Associates, bringing 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering design. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aaron has developed deep expertise in the design and coordination of complex building systems for healthcare, academic, and science & technology projects. Throughout his decade at F&T, Aaron has played a key role in delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable MEP solutions. As a Mechanical Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), he is known for his strong technical foundation, collaborative approach, and commitment to quality. He develops design concepts, coordinating with architects and consultants, and handles project delivery from schematic design through construction administration. Aaron is passionate about mentoring junior engineers, driving continuous improvement in design standards, and advancing integrated project delivery practices. His technical insight contribute to Fitzemeyer & Tocci’s mission to engineer environments that enhance the way people heal, learn, and discover.
Q&A
Can you share a brief overview of what you do at the company?
As a Mechanical Project Lead I oversee all manner of the HVAC design process from start to finish. My responsibilities include initial concept development, site/field investigations, overseeing junior engineers in project production work and managing CA and project closeout. I also contribute to F&T process and standards improvement.
What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job?
Using my knowledge of HVAC systems to troubleshoot and solve an ongoing issue that a client is facing is the most rewarding part of my job. When that happens I know that I am making a difference for the client.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy many different outdoor activities including hiking, and biking. I also volunteer as a leader for the Appalachian Mountain Club where I enjoy running conservation trips and helping get other people outside to explore and enjoy the outdoors
