Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided full MEP/FP engineering services for this transformative 200,000 square-foot facility renovation for BAE Systems. The project involves the adaptive reuse of an existing building to support a wide range of functions, including laboratory and research areas, office and conference spaces, presentation rooms, and various support functions.
A key component of the project is the design and implementation of a new, stand-alone mechanical chiller plant, which provides chilled water to serve the entire facility. F&T worked closely with BAE Systems’ facilities team, Fulcrum Construction, and Lavallee Brensinger Architects to ensure that all spaces met strict environmental and operational requirements.
Each area of the building was designed with user-specific fit-out and environmental conditions in mind, supporting BAE Systems' high-performance standards for innovation, reliability, and flexibility.
This project was recognized with a 2023 ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence Award for its technical achievement and contribution to advancing high-tech facility infrastructure.
