Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided comprehensive MEP/FP engineering and code consulting services for a multifaceted renovation at Tufts University. The project involved upgrades to a wide range of academic and creative spaces, including shops, studios, classrooms, faculty offices, and the main entrance atrium. These improvements were part of a broader initiative to modernize facilities and better support the evolving needs of students and faculty.
Working in close collaboration with designLAB Architects and Tufts University stakeholders, F&T played a key role in designing flexible, high-performance building systems tailored to the diverse demands of the curriculum. The renovated spaces are now equipped to support a variety of rapidly growing academic disciplines, including animation, photography, 3D printing, digital media, virtual reality, and film/video production.
By aligning our engineering solutions with the university’s goals for innovation, sustainability, and adaptability, we helped create an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and academic excellence.
