Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided MEP/FP engineering services for the HVAC upgrade at Rubenstein Hall on the Wentworth Institute of Technology campus in Boston, MA. The project enhanced ventilation, introduced cooling to labs, classrooms, corridors, and offices, and supported the Institute’s long-term energy efficiency goals.

F&T collaborated closely with Wentworth to design an upgraded HVAC system that leveraged existing steam infrastructure while addressing complex conditions such as the variable heat loads generated by the building’s jet engine laboratory. The team also provided commissioning support and troubleshooting for fan coil units (FCUs), identifying and resolving programming and motor issues to restore the system to efficient operation.
