Kaven Hall
Worcester, Massachusetts
We provided MEP/FP engineering for the renovation of historic Kaven hall, originally constructed in 1954. The building previously used window-mounted air conditioners
where possible and met ventilation requirements with operable windows. HVAC upgrades included the installation of two new Air handler Units (AhU) in the attic
space, using chilled water that is piped from an adjacent building. lecture halls
were upgraded to accommodate increased space between students, including AV
upgrades to allow interaction from anywhere within the lecture hall. This project was awarded a Bronze Engineering Excellence Award from ACEC/MA.
