Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided full MEP/FP engineering design and construction administration services for the new Regional Care Pavilion at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, a key expansion and modernization project for Rochester Regional Health and St. Lawrence Health. The nearly 100,000 square-foot facility enhances patient care for both the hospital and the surrounding North Country region.

The project, which began in 2022 and was completed in October 2024, includes 60 private, single-occupancy patient rooms and three primary components: new inpatient units, an expanded emergency department, and a new main entrance and lobby. The design also incorporates shell space reserved for future enhancements to diagnostic imaging services.

F&T worked closely with LaBella Associates and Pike Construction to deliver high-performance building systems that support a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered environment. The new facility improves accessibility, increases emergency care capacity, and aligns with the health system’s long-term vision for integrated, high-quality care.

This project was honored with a 2025 Silver Engineering Excellence Award from ACEC/MA and a National Recognition Award from ACEC.
