On Monday, 11/28, Fitzemeyer & Tocci held our annual Associate Nomination meeting, where our executive team elected those individuals who drive the growth of F&T’s business and brand. Please join us in congratulating the 2023 Associate Program inductees!
Nate Fanning – Associate Principal
Nate has been with F&T for a year and in that time has led a complete redevelopment of our commissioning services and has continued the growth of our Energy and Infrastructure services. Nate is an active participant in F&T’s Thought Leadership program and is also involved in several industry organizations and a member of his town’s energy committee. Fun fact: In his free time, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and two littles!
Mike Pang – Associate Principal
Mike has been with F&T for a year as our Sr. Electrical Specialist. More recently, Mike has taken on the role of electrical discipline lead and has led change and improvement in both production and engineering. He has participated in F&T’s Thought Leadership program as a trusted consultant in project development and problem-solving. He is working to develop staff and will continue to play a key role in F&T’s growth and advancement.
Tim Piehl – Associate
Tim has been with F&T for eight years and over that time has grown his career within the Electrical department tremendously. Tim started his career with F&T as an electrical designer and is now a very experienced project engineer leading projects and junior electrical staff. Tim has participated in countless guides, improving F&T visibility in the industry. Fun Fact: Tim enjoys spending time with his wife Em and their two huskies.
Ariana Surabian – Associate
Ariana has been with F&T for seven years, starting in an administrative capacity. After completing her degrees in Business Administration and Marketing, Ariana was promoted to Marketing Manager and most recently taking on Business Development as well. Ari has had many accomplishments at F&T, most notably, redesigning our company website and employee advocacy program. Fun Fact: Her and her husband have a goal to visit every National Park and have already been to six of them!
Matthew Fitzemeyer – Associate
Matt has been with the firm for 12 years and has progressed through the company, starting as a co-op, mechanical design engineer, project engineer, and now a project manager. He has a vast knowledge of many areas of operations and is known as very reliable. Matt is active in Thought Leadership, participates in industry organizations, engages in external and internal training, and enthusiastically supports others’ growth. Fun fact: Matt is known within his family to be amazing at impressions and accents and is a huge fan of Frank Sinatra.
Joe Merullo – Associate
Joe has been with the firm for over seven years and has progressed through the company, starting as a mechanical design engineer, then a project engineer, and now a project manager. During this time, he has frequently assumed the role as a mentor for mechanical staff and is now assisting with the development of PMO co-ops and new hires. He is very active in Thought Leadership and actively takes part in industry organizations. Fun fact: Joe’s favorite movie is “Forrest Gump” - A perfect combination of comedy, action, and romance!
Several Associates were promoted within the program:
Deanna Adkison - Senior Associate. Deanna has been with F&T for four years and has participated in the Associate Program since 2021. She started with F&T as an HVAC Project Engineer and was promoted to Project Manager. She now serves as the PMO Manager, overseeing the management and direction of all project managers. Deanna is a very active thought leader, and most recently, was the President of ASHRAE. Fun Fact: Deanna and her family are big animal lovers. Currently living in the household, the family cares for an Australian shepherd, a cat, a tortoise, and two hermit crabs!
Steve Picariello - Senior Associate
Steve has been with F&T for 14 years and has participated in the Associate Program since 2016. Steve has held multiple roles over his tenure with the firm starting in HVAC and, most recently, has taken on the role of CA group leader. Steve is always willing to lend a helping hand in all different projects and is a strong embodiment of the Way to Be F&T culture. Fun fact: Steve is one of six siblings and plays the guitar.
Dan Villeneuve - Associate Principal
Dan has been with F&T for five years as our BIM/Technology Manager and has participated in the Associate Program since 2020. He has developed countless improvements to our BIM processes, managed the entire IT function, and taken part in most strategic initiatives. He has created a “Culture of BIM” at F&T by fostering excitement around technology advancement and improvement. Fun Fact: His career path was forged through the combination of a love for hand drawing and an early exposure to always seeing construction blueprints around the house growing up.
Abdullah Khaliqi - Principal
Abdullah has been with the firm for seven years and has participated in the Associate Program since 2018. Abdullah was recently promoted to Academic Market Leader and has proven time and time again his leadership at F&T. Abdullah has participated in many strategic initiatives and is active in Thought Leadership and many industry organizations. Fun Fact: As part of the Atlantic Frontier chapter of Ducks Unlimited, he was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Bristol County League of Sportsmen's Club because of the group's contributions, including an annual field day event that promotes the outdoors to youth.
