Construction of the new Dr. Albert B. Consentino Middle School continues to progress, with commissioning activities entering a critical phase. Equipment start-ups and functional performance testing are scheduled to be performed this spring, marking a key milestone toward project completion.

This new $160 million, 183,000-square-foot facility will replace the original 1969-era school and provide a modern, state-of-the-art learning environment designed to support approximately 1,080 students in grades 5 through 8. Developed through the MSBA program, the project addresses longstanding overcrowding while integrating contemporary educational spaces and advanced building systems.
Fitzemeyer & Tocci is supporting this next phase through comprehensive commissioning services, including equipment start-ups and execution of functional performance testing. These efforts are focused on verifying system performance, ensuring proper integration across mechanical, electrical, life safety, and controls systems, and confirming readiness for occupancy. Through this process, F&T continues to help deliver a facility that meets the client’s goals for reliability, efficiency, and occupant comfort.
