Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided comprehensive MEP/FP engineering services to develop a state-of-the-art Maker Space at the Martinos Center in MGH Charlestown Navy Yard (CNY) Building 149. This 2,900 SF renovation transformed the first-floor lobby area into a cutting-edge environment for innovation, prototyping, and collaboration, enhancing the center’s ability to support groundbreaking research and technological advancements.
The project involved strategic modifications to existing changing and circulation spaces, ensuring optimized functionality while seamlessly integrating new infrastructure into the facility’s existing systems. Designed to foster interdisciplinary work, the Maker Space provides researchers and innovators with the tools and resources to develop pioneering medical and scientific solutions.
