Fitzemeyer & Tocci Associates, Inc. (F&T) is proud to announce that it has received a 2025 National Recognition Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) for our mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering services on the Rochester Regional Health Regional Care Pavilion at Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH).

Accepted by F&T Principal Matthew Merli at the 2025 Engineering Excellence Awards Gala in Washington, D.C., this prestigious honor highlights the firm’s leadership in delivering sustainable, resilient, and patient-centered healthcare infrastructure. The ACEC Gala is globally regarded as the pinnacle celebration of engineering innovation, honoring projects that advance the public good through excellence in design and execution.
Completed in October 2024, the 100,000-square-foot Regional Care Pavilion in Canton, NY, expands and modernizes hospital services for New York’s North Country. The initiative includes 60 private inpatient rooms, an expanded emergency department, and a new main entrance and lobby. Designed by LaBella Associates and constructed by Pike Construction, the facility was engineered by F&T to support high-performance systems, energy efficiency, and enhance patient comfort.
In April, the project also earned the Silver Award at the 2025 ACEC/MA Engineering Excellence Awards, further affirming its impact at both state and national levels. With a design centered on sustainability, operational efficiency, and long-term resilience, the Regional Care Pavilion sets a new standard for rural hospital engineering.
