Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided comprehensive MEP/FP engineering services for the Concord Museum Renovation and Expansion Project. The project involved the construction of a new, state-of-the-art Learning Center alongside the renovation of the original 1930s-era museum building. With a total investment of approximately $8 million, the initiative marked the first major mechanical upgrade in the museum’s history.
The renovation replaced outdated systems with modern, energy-efficient infrastructure, significantly improving indoor environmental quality and system reliability. The upgraded facility was designed to enhance visitor experience, improve circulation, and support the museum’s educational mission.
The newly constructed Learning Center features interactive exhibits, multimedia capabilities, and flexible programming spaces—offering visitors a dynamic, technology-enhanced experience that the original building could not support. Fitzemeyer & Tocci’s engineering solutions played a key role in creating a comfortable, sustainable, and future-ready environment for one of Massachusetts’ most historic cultural institutions.
