Fitzemeyer & Tocci provided HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical engineering services for Massachusetts General Hospital’s new 122,000 square-foot ambulatory care center and 78,000 square-foot outpatient facility. This major expansion was designed to support MGH’s vision of delivering high-quality healthcare in a setting that blends advanced clinical capability with the accessibility and efficiency of a retail healthcare model.
The project focused on delivering cost-effective, high-performance building systems that support a broad range of patient services, including state-of-the-art surgical suites and advanced cancer care. F&T’s engineering design balanced innovation with operational efficiency, ensuring that the systems met the demanding requirements of both critical care environments and outpatient workflows.
By tailoring the infrastructure to MGH’s clinical goals, Fitzemeyer & Tocci helped create a modern healthcare campus that enhances patient access, optimizes care delivery, and sets a new standard for integrated outpatient services.
