Proposal Coordinator
1 year and 6 months with F&T
With 1 year and 6 months at F&T, Valeria Gonzalez plays a key role in supporting the firm’s business development and proposal efforts. She brings a strong foundation in marketing coordination and proposal support, along with a degree in Law. Valeria’s skill set and attention to detail allow her to effectively support a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while contributing to the consistency and quality of F&T’s proposal submissions.
As Proposal Coordinator, Val supports proposal efforts across multiple markets, coordinating Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from initial planning through final submission. She works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure proposals are accurate, timely, and well-coordinated, while managing multiple deadlines and priorities. Val also collaborates with subconsultants to help streamline the proposal process and maintain alignment across all contributors.
Beyond proposals, she supports the development and maintenance of marketing and business development materials, including client data, project descriptions, and proposal content. She assists with marketing database updates and opportunity pipeline tracking, and helps develop new content to support evolving business needs.
Val is known for her strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and professionalism. She thrives in fast-paced environments, effectively managing competing priorities while collaborating across teams. Her commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with F&T’s core values—Respectful, Reliable, and Resourceful—make her a valuable member of the marketing and business development team.
Q&A
What inspired you to join our team, and what has been your journey so far?
I was inspired to join the team because of F&T’s strong culture and people-first approach. The team is full of warm, knowledgeable people who are always willing to share their knowledge and help, which creates a great environment to learn and grow. My journey so far has been very rewarding! I’ve learned a great deal about sustainability and have been encouraged to think outside the box, both in and outside of work.
What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job?
One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is being able to contribute to meaningful projects from the very beginning. Through proposals and presentations, I get to help shape how we present our ideas and highlight the impact of our work. It’s very fulfilling to know that my work helps position the team to pursue projects that make a difference!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends—exploring new restaurants around town, supporting their hobbies, and occasionally going on trips. Lately, that’s included showing up for friends who are contributing to the city’s cultural scene, like DJing events and book readings, which has been really exciting to be part of! I also enjoy cooking, baking, knitting, and relaxing at my favorite café with a good book.
