F&T supports Walpole High School Reach Completion Milestone

Walpole High School has reached a major milestone with the completion and opening of its new field house, marking a significant step forward in the school’s ongoing campus transformation. Behind this milestone, Fitzemeyer & Tocci played a key role in helping ensure the facility is not only complete—but ready to perform from day one.

As commissioning agent, F&T supported the project through a comprehensive process focused on verifying the performance of building systems across the new 19,700 SF field house and associated renovation areas within the broader 34,300 SF project. Working closely with the design and construction team, F&T helped guide systems from installation through operation, ensuring alignment with the Owner’s Project Requirements.

The project incorporates a range of interconnected systems serving athletic, academic, and support spaces, including Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF), energy recovery ventilation, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, mass notification, and domestic hot water systems. Through design review, field verification, and functional performance testing, F&T confirmed that these systems are not only installed correctly, but operating together as an integrated whole.

This work is especially critical in a facility designed for flexibility and high use. The new field house supports everything from daily athletic training to large-scale events, requiring systems that can respond reliably under varying conditions. F&T’s commissioning process helps reduce operational uncertainty, enhance system efficiency, and support long-term building performance.

As the facility transitions into active use, early activity within the space reflects the value of that effort. The field house is already serving as a hub for students and the broader community—delivering a modern, adaptable environment backed by systems that are tested, verified, and ready to perform.
