Fitzemeyer & Tocci Announces Key Leadership Transitions: Scott LeClair to Become CEO; Matt Fitzemeyer Appointed President

Woburn, MA – 12/19/2025 — Fitzemeyer & Tocci Associates, Inc. (F&T) is pleased to announce a significant milestone in its leadership evolution. Effective in January 2026, our 65^th Year, Scott LeClair, current President, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, while Matt Fitzemeyer, currently Principal and PMO Manager, will become President. Longtime leader Ted Fitzemeyer, who has served as President and CEO since 1995, will maintain the role of Chairman of the Board. 

Scott LeClair Appointed CEO 

Scott LeClair brings more than 30 years of engineering leadership and excellence to his new role as CEO. A retired U.S. Air Force officer, Scott concluded his active & reserve military service in 2012 after serving as a mechanical engineering leader, mentor, and educator. He joined Fitzemeyer & Tocci in 2002 as a Technology Specialist and quickly became a critical contributor to the firm’s technical and organizational growth. 

Over the course of his tenure, Scott advanced to Special Projects Group Leader in 2004, became Principal and Healthcare Group Leader in 2009, and later served as Executive Vice President of Client Services beginning in 2016. He was promoted to President in 2021, a role in which he continued to strengthen the firm’s client relationships, culture, and strategic direction. As CEO, Scott will lead F&T into its next phase of innovation and growth while continuing to champion quality, collaboration, and technical excellence. 

Matt Fitzemeyer Named President 

F&T is also proud to announce the promotion of Matt Fitzemeyer to President. With more than 15 years of engineering leadership, Matt’s career reflects the firm’s commitment to developing exceptional talent and fostering a culture where people grow and succeed. Matt joined F&T in 2010 as an intern and progressed to Mechanical Designer in 2013. After graduating from UMass Amherst in 2017, he returned as a Mechanical Design Engineer and soon advanced to Project Manager and Project Engineer in 2019. 

In the years that followed, Matt took on increasing levels of responsibility and leadership, becoming an Associate and Project Manager in 2023, then Associate Principal, PMO Manager, and Management Advisory Board Chair in 2024. He was promoted to Principal in 2025 and will step into the role of President in 2026. Matt embodies F&T’s 3R’s Core Values — Reliable, Resourceful, and Respectful, and is a key driver of the firm’s “living company” culture. His focus on people, processes, and performance positions him well to lead the firm into the future. 

Ted Fitzemeyer Transitioning to Chairman of the Board 

After leading the firm for more than three decades, Ted Fitzemeyer will transition to Chairman of the Board. 

Since 1995, Ted’s leadership has focused on building a strong, resilient firm with a clear strategic direction.  He positioned F&T as a recognized expert in Healthcare, Science & Technology, and Institutional facilities, establishing the firm’s role as the Owner’s Engineer. 

Under Ted’s leadership, F&T strengthened its technical depth, leadership bench, and value-driven culture. His continued involvement as Chair will provide stability, strategic continuity, and ongoing alignment with the firm’s mission and long-term vision.
