F&T Completes Laboratory Renovations for Exosome Diagnostics

Fitzemeyer & Tocci recently partnered with Timberline Construction to complete MEP/FP engineering design for Exosome Diagnostics’ laboratory renovation in Waltham, Massachusetts. The 5,600 SF, two-phased design-build project transformed existing laboratory and support spaces into advanced quality control, product development, and recertification laboratories that support Exosome’s expanding molecular diagnostics research.
F&T’s engineering scope included HVAC upgrades to deliver precise temperature and humidity control, electrical and fire protection upgrades, and plumbing modifications to accommodate the new lab layout and equipment. Working within an occupied facility, F&T collaborated closely with Timberline and Exosome to phase construction effectively and minimize disruption to ongoing operations..
The completed facility provides flexible, high-performance laboratory environments that enhance operational efficiency and research capabilities. Through thoughtful engineering and close collaboration, F&T and Timberline successfully delivered a modern, functional space aligned with Exosome Diagnostics’ mission to advance precision medicine through innovation in molecular diagnostics.
