F&T is underway on a project for Massachusetts Institute of Technology, upgrading an MRI Magnet. The magnet upgrade for the animal lab’s MRI in the McGovern Institute for Brain Research (Building 46) has entered the construction phase. Chilled water piping is being run and electrical reconfiguration will occur soon within the MRI equipment room for future use by the Helium Compressor that chills the MRI magnet. Equipment upgrades will be done by Bruker and supported by MIT and F&T.
