Welcome to our 2026 Spring Co-Ops

F&T is thrilled to welcome our 2026 Spring Co-Ops! Our program is designed to introduce students to the MEP/FP consulting industry, providing them with valuable insights and hands-on experience. Throughout their time with us, our co-ops are immersed in real-world projects, allowing them to gain practical knowledge and skills that will be invaluable in their post-graduate careers. 


Our co-ops tackle various challenges, working closely with our experienced team members. They have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of our industry, from project management to technical design, and everything in between.

Victor Latin, Mechanical Engineering Co-Op at F&T

Victor Latin - Mechanical Engineering

Victor Latin, a motivated mechanical engineering student at Wentworth Institute of Technology with strong experience in construction management, HVAC system design, and virtual design and construction (VDC). 


Victor has completed internships with Shawmut Design and Construction, BR+A Consulting Engineers, and Gilbane Building Company. Through these roles, he has contributed to field inspections, Revit and AutoCAD modeling, load calculations, LiDAR scanning, procurement support, and project documentation for a variety of institutional and commercial projects. 


He brings a solid technical foundation with proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, SolidWorks, Python, Bluebeam, and 3D printing, complemented by advanced coursework in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. Victor is also an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers and an alumnus of the MITES program, demonstrating a strong commitment to academic and professional growth.  


In his free time, Victor enjoys working out, traveling, doing road trips, bowling, 8-ball, and mini golfing with friends.




Vincent Szumski, Project Management Co-Op at F&T

Vincent Szumski – Project Manager 

Vincent Szumski is a Construction Management student at Wentworth Institute of Technology (expected August 2027) with hands-on experience in preconstruction, estimating, and residential construction. During his internship with McCarthy Building Companies in Los Angeles, he supported the development of estimates and proposals, performed detailed takeoffs, reviewed bridging documents, and collaborated closely with subcontractors and preconstruction teams using platforms such as Bluebeam, WinEst, Building Connected, and Excel. 


Vincent’s background also includes field experience with Wojtek Ultimate Construction, where he assisted in daily residential project operations, coordinated site logistics, and communicated with suppliers and subcontractors. His work as a Property Manager and Landscaping Manager further strengthened his skills in maintenance coordination, vendor communication, and property upkeep. 


At Wentworth, Vincent serves as President of the NAHB Student Chapter, leading budgeting efforts, organizing industry focused events, and fostering connections with construction professionals. He also competed in the NAHB Custom/Small Build Student Competition and has contributed to community service projects through the Appalachian Service Project. Bilingual in Polish and English, Vincent is driven by his passion for hands-on, fast-paced work environments and is committed to building a strong foundation in construction planning, project coordination, and collaborative problem-solving. 


In his free time, Vincent enjoys skiing and hanging out with friends. 




Manreet Kaur, Electrical Engineering Co-Op at F&T

Manreet Kaur – Electrical Engineering

Manreet Kaur is a Computer Engineering student at Wentworth Institute of Technology (Class of 2025) with strong experience in hardware development, embedded systems, robotics, and engineering diagnostics. She has worked as a Hardware Development Engineer Coop at Nokia, where she troubleshot routers, analyzed circuit-level issues, prepared technical reports, and supported global engineering teams. Her previous co-op experience includes building robotic systems using Arduino and Raspberry Pi, 3D modeling in SolidWorks, and prototyping sensor-based projects. 


Manreet also brings experience as a Teaching Assistant in AP Computer Science and as a long-time operations manager at Joti Palace, strengthening her communication and leadership skills. Skilled in Python, C/C++, Verilog, MATLAB, and multiple engineering tools and test instruments, she is passionate about problem solving and applying engineering concepts to real world challenges. She is trilingual in Punjabi, Hindi, and English. 


In her free time, Manreet enjoys baking and going out with friends. 




Daniel Chaves, IT Co-Op at F&T

Daniel Chaves – IT 

Daniel Chaves, a Cybersecurity student at Wentworth Institute of Technology, is an emerging professional in the field of Cybersecurity and Information Technology, driven by a longstanding passion for understanding how computer systems operate and how they can be effectively protected. His early curiosity for technology evolved into a focused commitment to safeguarding modern digital environments, guiding both his academic pursuits and hand-son experience. 


Daniel is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity with minors in Computer Science and Computer Networking. He has gained practical experience through IT security and cybersecurity internships, supporting vulnerability management, security auditing, and the implementation of best practices across diverse technological ecosystems. 


He was drawn to the field of Cybersecurity and Information Technology due to his early and sustained interest in computers. From a young age, he was curious about how systems operated, which ultimately developed into a strong desire to understand, protect, and support modern technological environments. We are excited to welcome Daniel back for his second F&T co-op.  


In his free time, Daniel enjoys staying active through regular workouts and playing soccer and other sports, as well as spending time with friends and attending concerts.
