Fitzemeyer & Tocci is proud to support the ongoing North 1 Project at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center! The renovation of the first floor of the North Building aims to create a new Heart and Vascular Center in Nashua, New Hampshire.
In collaboration with Stone River Architects, Foley Buhl Roberts Structural Engineers, and Fulcrum Construction, this 16,000 SF first-floor renovation expands the hospital’s cardiac and interventional capabilities with the addition of two new cardiac catheterization laboratories and an Interventional Radiology suite with a dedicated procedure room. The project also includes major upgrades to the hospital’s chilled water systems.
F&T is providing full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering design services, addressing complex infrastructure upgrades within an active healthcare environment. The work includes raising a portion of the existing roof structure to accommodate new air handler and mechanical equipment, along with integrating high-performance HVAC systems within limited floor-to-floor height constraints. Modular ceiling systems supporting critical airflow, lighting, and clinical booms are being incorporated within the Cath labs and IR suite to support clinical functionality despite low deck conditions.

In addition to design services F&T provided Construction Management support for early phase infrastructure readiness and procurement services for the mechanical modular ceiling systems, cooling towers, pumps, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) to support the upgraded infrastructure systems.
The ongoing effort highlight’s F&T’s integrated design and Construction Management capabilities and our commitment to delivering technically complex healthcare environments that enhance clinical performance and patient care.
